Account Management Overview

Your NeonNow account is your personal identity. It's separate from the organisations you belong to: you sign in once, and the same account can be a member of one organisation, many organisations, or none at all.

You manage your account from the Manage Account area of the NeonNow Admin app, which is reached from your profile menu in the top corner of the layout. It is always available — even if you don't currently belong to any organisation.

What You Can Manage

AreaWhat you can do
ProfileChange your name. Your email address is fixed and can't be changed.
SecurityChange your password.
PreferencesChoose whether to remember your last organisation, and delete your account.
Organisation membershipsView your active and pending memberships, join organisations you've been invited to, and leave organisations.

Account vs. Organisation

It helps to keep two ideas separate:

  • Your account is personal — your name, password and preferences. Only you manage it.
  • Your memberships connect your account to organisations, each with its own role. Whoever administers an organisation controls who is a member and what role they hold (see User Management).
Changing your name vs. your role

You control your name from your profile. Your role in each organisation is controlled by that organisation's admins, not from your account. See Roles and Permissions.

When you move between sections of account settings, reloading the page returns you to the same section, so you can bookmark or refresh without losing your place.
